Symptoms/Side Effects:

Nausea when starting 1.7 especially the first 24-48 hours.   Took a nausea med for the first time.   This tapered off by the end of the 2nd month of this dosage.   Added hiccups and dry mouth overnight as symptoms.   By the 3rd month of 1.7 no effects from the shot.   Still getting occasional hiccups and dry mouth but nausea is gone.

Exercise:

Very poor showing month 4 and 5 because of the holidays.   Started treadmill back up with month 6 / Jan first.

Did Dry January this month as well as starting a Fitness group.   Added water tracking.  Decreased BP meds to 1/2 pill.  I tried to increase motivation but even in the group I'm in I'm not seeing a major interest in checking in and encouraging each other.    I'm doing what I can but not getting back what I was hoping for. I'll probably re-evaluate next month.    Not as good a month as I would like.   Less than a pound a week this month.   I'm hoping 2.4 kick-starts me back up because I still have 31 pounds to go.

Reflections Month 5

Hit Halfway - 154.6 - on 12/20/24  
It's been a month.    Not even close to what I wanted to lose but it's still an average of a pound a week.    We'll see how this week goes with getting diet and exercise back on track.   Then decide if it's time to move up.  All in All considering the holidays...I'm happy.

Symptoms/Side Effects:

12/01 - 12/10 - Some nausea.   Much less duration than prior 7 day doses.   

12/10 - 12/18 - Nope - nausea is back.   It's more of a low level queasiness much more frequently with bouts of heavier queasy and very occasionally a full blown nausea.    My body fully rejected food one night because it was apparently too much dairy?   who knows. 

12/18 - 12/25 - nausea specifically the night after the shot.   low level queasiness otherwise.   Thursday is now officially Tired Thursday.   AND I just realized that my sneeze incontinence has mostly resolved itself now that I'm almost halfway to my goal.

12/25 - 01/01 - a bit more constipation, need to up fiber.  No nausea the evening after but gag reflex is hair trigger.   Definitely more hiccups and DRY TONGUE.   It gets super dry overnight.   

Exercise:

12/01 - 12/10 - I'm definitely failing at this.   Really need to tone arms, they are a bit saggy.

12/10 - 12/18 - Just trying to get to Christmas.

Reflections Month 4

Looking Back on Month 4: (weeks 13 - 16) 1.7

Stretching the shots out helped with the nausea of the first two weeks but it definitely slowed down loss.   I only have one more week stretched out and then I'm back to Wednesdays so that's good.    I'm sure the Thanksgiving food didn't help either.   It's still 5 1/2 pounds this month, which is over a pound a week (even if just barely).    This will still buy me another week between refills, and the way CVS has been, that's a good thing.

I'm happy with the change this month.   Sitting just under 2lbs a week.   Measurements are down.   I definitely need to get back to exercising but we did do a lot of cleaning a prep this month.    My labs definitely improved over the past 3 months.    Now onto 3 more!  Can't wait to see where that takes me.

Symptoms/Side Effects:

10/2 - 10/9 - SO NOT HUNGRY, hiccups (that's new), heart rate is a bit higher but not bad. Slight vibrating feeling...could be thyroid. 

10/9 - 10/16 - SUPER strong brain static right after this shot.   Resting heart rate is low 70s (71 average) instead of mid 60s

10/16 - 10/23 - Still shaking.   My levels are definitely a bit high.   

10/23 - 10/30 - Saw Dr.  Lowering Thyroid meds.   All my labs are great.   Recheck in 3 months.  Vibrating is beginning to ebb.

Not as much change as I would LIKE and I didn't hit my goal.  BUT...I lost each week.  Part of that is on me for not upping my exercise sooner.   Time to move on to a new dosage.

Symptoms/Side Effects:

9/4 - 9/10 - Not Hungry.   Fatigue.  Quiet Brain reaction not noticeable. Bad panic reaction 9/10 over night, possibly related to alcohol

9/11 - 9/17 - Slight nausea Wed. Some fatigue - upped B12 - Some sleep issues.

9/18 - 9/24 - On and off light nausea, some fatigue. 

9/25 - 10/1 - Hunger is back.   No nausea

Exercise:

9/4 - 9/10 - Treadmill (a bit light) - no pilates or extra exercise - Missed some days. 

9/11 - 9/17 - Treadmill (light) - no pilates - missed days

9/18 - 9/24 - Yeah, I totally missed my treadmill except for the 23rd

I started this journey on 8/7/2024 at 189lbs.   The highest I have ever been in my life and scarily close to 200.   As someone who spent the majority of my life under 120 and at my highest otherwise was never over the 150's, 189 is painful.   Everything hurts.  

8/7 - 8/14 - 189 to 184.4   - 4.6 lbs

8/14 - 8/21 - 184.4 to 180.2  - 4.2lbs

8/21 - 8/28 - 180.2 to 180.4  + 0.2

8/28 - 9/4 - 180.4 to 177.8  - 2.6lbs

Symptoms/Side Effects:

8/7 - 8/13  Week 1 - pre-nausea, light heartburn and light nausea, mild headache occasionally.  No longer blazing hot all the time. Quietening of extra brain noise.  No longer interested in alcohol.  fatigue (treated with B12) - Symptoms wear off by day 6

8/14 - 8/20 - Week 2 - "Cloud of White Noise" 15 minutes after shot. Hunger gone.  No nausea day 1 - Noticed that I am low-key happy/content.   Constant Anger/Stress is going away. Can't eat heavy or large portions. 

8/21 - 8/27 - Cannot have more than 1-2 glasses of wine.  Nausea day 2 (food choices?) Weight loss plateau. 

8/28 - 9/3 - Diarrhea and weight gain after eating gluten. More hunger this week. Headache when hydration is low. 

Exercise:

8/7 - 8/13 - Treadmill - 6 days - 2.0 to 2.1 for 42 to 45 minutes 

8/14 - 8/20 - Treadmill - 6 days -  to  for 42 to 60 minutes    Walking - 1 day for 60 minutes                               Pilates  - 2 days for 11 minutes each

8/21 - 8/27 - Treadmill - 2.3 to 2.5 for 42 to 60 minutes  Pilates - 3 days for 11 minutes each

8/28 - 9/3 -  Treadmill - 2.5 to 2.7 for 45 to 60 minutes   Pilates - 2 days for 11 minutes each
